Helped out of his body due to progression of Cauda Equina Syndrome

Something karmic must have been at hand.
I saw your photo and I knew you were "mine".
There were many who wanted you and I am blessed to know why.
You were my joy, my mush face, my constant shadow.
The provider of slobber on everything I own.
Giver of big, wet kisses to everyone who asked, and some who didn't ;-)
King of any piece of furniture you desired.
Constantly posed ready to accept a treat which I could never deny.
An extension of my body, yours nearly always touching mine.
Your sighs of contentment filling me with joy.
Your beautiful neck catching my tears when life got rough.
Leaving the water bowl with slime that Mikela wouldn't drink.
You never missed a chance to walk along the ocean.
Or greet a canine or person large or small.
Even when your back end was painful and didn't work right.
Even on your last day on this earth.

Nearly throwing my back out lifting you the last 6 months was of no consequence.
It was the least I could do for you. You gave me so much.

In your bed, my arms wrapped around you, your head on my arm you passed gently.
My tears once again on your neck.

I am blessed to have had had you so long.
Cursed that forever wouldn't have been long enough.
Love doesn't begin to describe what I feel for you.
Loss doesn't explain the hole in my soul.
I have to believe that you are able to run again.
That you are happy and playing until we meet again, someday.

So Ringo my precious, goofy boy, be free and be happy.
My life, is not the same without you, but certainly better because of you.
I am blessed to have loved you and to have been loved by you.
You will always be the "champion of our hearts".

- Love Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and Mikela

The photo above was used for his urn which is a lovely box with a ceramic tile and this photo infused in the tile can be seen by clicking here.

Some candid shots of Ringo that we enjoy:

Ringo sharing his crate with his then 6 mo. old daughter Bella

Ringo's favorite place to "hang out".
People would always tell me how they drove by the house and saw Ringo in the back of the car and some people that we didn't even know would say they would drive by and look for him.
